![]() ![]() Bomber aircraft simply don't have the performance characteristics to make it very interesting. Once an interceptor is above a bomber there's very little a bomber can do in that situation in order to challenge the interceptor in any interesting way. Shooting down bombers is just mechanical execution: get above the bomber and kill it, it's simple enough to do if one is willing. Saying people should do more of the boring stuff is not really a good suggestion. The problem with that is that shooting down bombers is just boring. Alright maybe that could be negotiated, because ec5 fighters them selves carry more tonnage than rank 1 bombers probably. Regardless if you take a rank 1 bomber to ec5. Since bombers have such big impact on winning they should always all cost spawn points and always all have crew time outs for after death. Returning to base actually lowers the tonnage/hour because you are wasting your time flying an empty plane that does effectively nothing. And that's the only thing winning is about in this game: how much tonnage/hour you can get on target. ![]() That's the quickest means to get most tonnage/hour on target and get a win. If you make bv 239 cost spawn points and have a crew time out then some other bomber will take its place but the game play will continue the same. That's accurate description of any bomber for each ec-rank where they don't cost spawn points and have an associated crew time out for death. Relentlessly bomb our airfields and we lose the match due to the fact once shot down they can take off and go onto another run Has anyone else run into this in EC III 3.7-4.7? I have lost many battles because of this and we can't do much about it. The only thing that I have found to work is to shoot them down repeatedly to discourage them or get them frustrated enough to quit or take a fighter. Often times players will get to the target at medium altitude and release their bombs and either bail out or the AAA will shoot them down, allowing them to spawn in the air at speed and begin another run saving the travel time back to the friendly airfield. This forces players to earn the spawn points and not go on run after run and end the game after 30-45 minutes. I feel that the BR should be increased just so it costs spawn points and there is a cool down even if it is 5 minutes. ![]() Even with Yak-9Ks Ts and P-63s it is very difficult to shoot them down over and over especially when there are 2 or 3 with players from their team providing cover. I cannot tell you how many times (I fly Soviets the most in SB) we have been up against the Germans and BV-238s relentlessly bomb our airfields and we lose the match due to the fact once shot down they can take off and go onto another run. So let me start off by saying I think the BV-238 is appropriately tiered but it needs to cost spawn points IMO. ![]()
